Kevin “Hammer” Hyland

DAVE NEILLDAVE NEILL

Considered by many to be the pound-for-pound longest hitter in Shootout history, Kevin Hyland and his partner Dave Neill dominated the field for a two-stroke victory in 2009. Appropriately nicknamed “Hammer” for his ferocious drives, Hyland created a new way to play Water’s Edge Golf Club by nearly driving multiple par fours at the course that were previously considered unreachable. A last-minute entrant into the 2009 field, Hyland’s devastating victory sent shock waves throughout the entire golf world.
